
Franck Amsallem
An acclaimed jazz pianist and pioneer for more than three decades, and a recipient of many major songwriting honors, Frank Amsallem is forever in demand as a composer/arranger, singer and music educator. With nine albums released under his revered name, including New York Stories, a major collaboration on the iconic jazz label, Blue Note, Franck has performed with many of the greats during his residence in NYC, including Gerry Mulligan, Charles Lloyd, Jerry Bergonzi, Joe Chambers, Maria Schneider, Gary Bartz, Bobby Watson, Rick Margitza, Tim Ries, Harry Belafonte and Blood Sweat and Tears. A consummate pro and a perennial crowd-pleaser, Franck has captivated audiences of all ages at many major jazz festivals throughout Europe, including the Pori, Molde, Red Sea, North Sea, Paris, Nice, Vienne, and Antibes-Juan-les-Pins festivals. His Rootstock performance will see him team up with his regular sonic collaborators Victor Nyberg, on upright bass, and Gautier Garrigue, on drums, to create a bombastic cacophony of aural ecstasy.
