Munay Ki Dub is an electronic live dub trio, representing a new breed of dub artists. They combine live instruments such as violin, melodica, percussion, bass, and guitar with programming, effects, and digital instruments. The name of the band comes from the south American indigenous language Quechua and means “I love dub”.
In September 2019, their debut EP “MKD” was released digitally on Dubophonic Records, a European label specialized in the dub. It includes tracks in English and Spanish with socially conscious lyrics and music that glides between roots reggae, and electronic dub.
During the first weeks after their debut EP was released, Munay Ki Dub sounded out on radios in Argentina, Australia, Mexico, the UK, Belgium, France, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, Italy Canada, and United States.
