French DJ who goes by the name “Yuksek,” grew up playing piano at the Conservatory of Music, which he left behind at the age of 17 to venture into the realm of electro music. The sound on his latest 2017 album “Nous Horizon” is characterized as midway between post-disco, house, and pop. Yuksek also shows his talent as a singer on the album and his new melodies are sunnier than before; his beats and production more subtle; airy, but still conveying a touch of hedonism in its most club-friendly sounds.
